Our next stop is Hagan Canyon in Red Rock State Park. Along the 1-mile
loop trail we explored a 16ma Miocene record in mostly lacusterine
sediments.

Welcome to the blog for the University of Michigan 2010 Soft Rock Geology Field Trip to the Southwest US! We will post updates here as network-access permits; however, as is often the case, the most interesting geology is often located in remote areas with no Internet access.
